Cone started in 1970, a three generation family owned and operated business that started as Hobby for our founder Ed. He was a LA county fireman who spent his off days making custom machines to make parts that no one else could get. We still use many of these machines everyday making our parts. His hobby grew to the point where he left the Fire Department and went all in on Cone Engineering. He had his parents helping in the shop running machines, and then later his son Craig started working in the shop eventually taking over and getting to where we are now with the third generation coming in everyday running the machines continuing on Ed's legacy in the motorcycle exhaust industry. Cone engineering has always been driven by one goal: building high-quality, American-made parts and systems. We are true craftsmen and our craftsmanship with the decades of hands-on experience, we’ve become a trusted supplier for custom exhaust builders and many of the industry’s leading manufacturers everyone knows around the world. Since the beginning we have been quietly shaping the motorcycle exhaust industry behind the scenes for over 50 years.

After decades of building everyone else’s parts, and supporting them with quality American made parts. We decided it was time to build our own line of systems for the market. Which introduces Cone Performance—our dedicated performance exhaust division focused on pushing motorcycle power, torque, sound, and efficiency further than ever before. By combining hand TIG-welded components with our state-of-the-art laser welding technology, we engineer, form, and weld our exhaust systems in house. Going from sheet metal and ending with a work of art that performs and good as it sounds. Our systems are designed for riders who demand quality, real gains, sound, and amazing customer service at a fair price.
